Nancy Bell knows how to grow things. As a master gardener she loves the hard work of collaboration with the earth: the creation, design and patience required to grow a garden. She applies this same attention and care to clients as she helps them meet their financial goals.

Nancy’s career began with a national brokerage firm and later moved to Northern Trust where she helped develop their full-service brokerage platform. She spent time with other national bank wealth management groups and accrued over 25 years in the industry before joining Trust Company of Illinois.

At TC Wealth Partners, Nancy is a member of the Wealth Management Team and serves on the Investment Committee. She provides comprehensive planning and integrated investment strategies to help clients navigate life’s transitions, particularly with regard to pre- and post-retirement planning. She is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, member of the Financial Planning Association, DuPage Estate Planning Council and the Chicago Estate Planning Council.

Nancy earned the Certified Divorce Financial Analyst designation and is a trained mediator, committed to helping those whose lives have been upended by divorce. She is also a member of the Collaborative Law Institute of Illinois, professionals helping individuals through the emotional, financial and legal aspects of divorce.

She holds the Chartered SRI Counselor™ (CSRIC) designation and is a frequent lecturer on SRI (Sustainable Responsible Investing), helping people learn how to invest intentionally to support their personal values and causes.

Nancy is deeply involved in the community. She volunteers with the University of Illinois Master Gardener extension program and serves on the Board for the GardenWorks Project, a nonprofit working to relieve food insecurity. She is also a member of the League of Women Voters and the local Sierra Club and is a former board member of the Marianjoy Hospital Board.

“Our roles as wealth advisors are more than managing finances,” Nancy says. “We help clients navigate life’s transitions, for example retirement or loss of a spouse, and help them grow through the challenges. For me, this is a perfect synergy of relationships, money management, and business development.”

Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc. owns the certification marks CFP®, Certified Financial Planner™ and federally registered CFP (with flame design) in the U.S., which it awards to individuals who successfully complete CFP Board’s initial and ongoing certification requirements.
