Nancy Bell knows how to grow things. As a master gardener she loves the hard work of collaboration with the earth: the creation, design and patience required to grow a garden. She applies this same attention and care to clients as she helps them meet their financial goals.

Nancy began her career with a national brokerage firm and then went deeper into the securities industry at Northern Trust. She helped develop their full-service brokerage platform and eventually managed investments for clients. She moved to Harris Private Bank and gained additional investment and financial planning experience that she brings, along with boundless energy and passion, to her work today. After more than 25 years in the industry, Nancy understands people’s needs drive every financial decision and transaction.

As a member of TC Wealth Partners Wealth Management Team and Investment Committee, she provides comprehensive planning and integrated investment strategies to help clients navigate life’s transitions, particularly with regard to pre- and post-retirement planning. She is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, member of the Financial Planning Association, DuPage Estate Planning Council and the Chicago Estate Planning Council.

Nancy is committed to helping those whose lives have been upended by a traumatic event such as the loss of a spouse or divorce. She earned the Certified Divorce Financial Analyst designation and is a trained mediator. She serves on the Board of the Collaborative Law Institute of Illinois, professionals who help individuals through the emotional, financial and legal aspects of divorce.

Nancy’s community service is vast. She serves on the Marianjoy President’s Advisory Committee and is a member of the League of Women Voters. She volunteers with the University of Illinois Master Gardener extension program and serves on the Board for The GardenWorks Project, a nonprofit working to relieve hunger by providing families in need of food assistance with home vegetable gardens and related coaching.

“Our roles as wealth advisors are more than managing finances,” Nancy says. “We help clients navigate life’s transitions and help them grow through the challenges. For me, this is a perfect synergy of relationships, money management, and business development.”

Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc. owns the certification marks CFP®, Certified Financial Planner™ and federally registered CFP (with flame design) in the U.S., which it awards to individuals who successfully complete CFP Board’s initial and ongoing certification requirements.
